Our Real-Time Tools Have Been Updated
For the most accurate arrival time of your bus, use our new real-time maps on all schedule pages, or scroll down for a list of all real-time resources for Golden Gate Bus.
1. When will my bus get here? All schedule pages now provide real-time maps with arrival information.
- Click on a bus traveling along the route map.
- A pop-up box will display which direction the bus is heading and a list of real-time arrivals for the next 3 upcoming stops.
- The real-time updates every 15 seconds.
- The pop-up box needs to be closed for the map to refresh.
- The green dots on the maps contain stop information, including stop ID.

2. Call for departure times from a stop: Dial 511 say “Golden Gate Transit” then “departure times” and follow the prompts.
3. If you know your stop id number, text for real-time arrival information: Text 41411 from your bus stop for real-time arrival information. Text: GGT + the Stop ID you are waiting at. For example, “GGT 41209” (make sure to include a space between GGT and the Stop ID).
4. Download Transit app for more options: Transit app will display real-time arrivals based on your location. Download the app here > (Please note, we do not manage Transit app’s content, so this is subject to change.)
Real-Time Arrivals FAQs

Scroll down to the map on the schedule page for your route. Click on the bus icon nearest your location. A pop-up box will appear with the direction the bus is traveling and a list of real-time arrivals for the next 3 stops on that route.

Click on a stop (green dot) on our real-time maps. A pop-up box will appear showing Stop ID and other information, including stop name, stop direction, street view and a list of and links to other GGT routes that serve that stop.
